What are the requirements for installing a media player?

  • Power supply: Use a Power Supply 220/240 volt AC outlet within 1.5 metres of the media player. Ensure the power supply remains on the media player 24 hours a day, because of the content updates throughout the night.
  • Connection to broadband internet: Connect your modem/router to broadband internet access within 1.5 metres of where the media player is located. The media player is equipped with a modular RJ45 connector (female) and is delivered with a 1.5 metre network cable. The broadband internet connection must be activated.
  • Video installation: The used screens have to have the ability to display the video content, as well as the infrastructure to manage these monitors (cables, video splitters within 1,5 metres from the media player).
  • Place of installation: The media player should be installed on a stable, accessible place, with sufficient ventilation to prevent overheating. Note: The ventilation openings should not be blocked. The maximum dimensions of the media player are: 260x250x60 mm (width, thickness, height). The media player uses an HDMI output with a standard female type A connector. In case the VGA installation must be controlled, an additional converter is required. When the media player installed by a mechanic, the equipment and connections must be freely accessible. The above mentioned distances to the media player must be unfettered. The mechanics work in accordance to the NEN-standards. For security reasons, but also to prevent interference on the audio/video quality.
  • Placing the screen: The health and safety rules requires that the screens are hanged by two people. To avoid higher installation costs, the mechanic should be assisted by you or your staff when putting up the screen.When prior to the visit is indicated that it’s not possible for your staff to assist the mechanic, an extra mechanic can be sent to you. The work will be performed during working days (Monday-Friday) between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Service: The servicecenter and Media Player Service are granted on business days between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. Media Player Service covers the delivered media player during the warranty period. Granted service outside of the warranty will be charged according to current price list. Clients should (continue to) carry the conditions for the proper functioning of narrowcasting. Program updates (parts) can only take place if the media player has unlimited access to the internet, and is connected to an uninterrupted power supply (also during the night), and wiring connected correctly.

The following situations are not included in service and warranty:

  • Disturbance caused by improper handling of the equipment
  • Disturbance caused by environmental condition and/or equipment failures caused by defect/non connected cables or wifi connection.
  • Disturbance caused by disruptions or changes made to the customer’s broadband connection.
  • Disturbance caused by power failures and/or interrupted power supply.

In case a disturbance is listed outside the agreed service and warranty agreements, service costs will be charged according to our price list. Service and warranty agreements on the supplied screens and mounting brackers are in accordance with the terms of the respective manufacturer.

Your subscription includes

  1. Servicedesk: Online Service Ticketing. You can send a ticket (e-mail) with your question to the Support team through your account. You will receive an answer by e-mail within 24 hours.
  2. Media Player Service: Carry in Service with Media Player disturbances. Your subscription contains a Carry-in-Service during the warranty period of the Media Player. The following possibilities are available:
    • Send the media player to the service desk for repair. In case of a defect part, the reparation, replacement costs and the retour sending costs are covered by you supplier.
    • Get a replacing media player delivered (install yourself) and send the old one retour by courier.
    • Visits by a mechanic according to the price list.
  3. Media Player warranty: The media player’s warranty period is equal to the duration of your subscription. The warranty period amounts to one year. You can extend the warranty when buying to 2 or 3 years. Extension of warranty per year: 9% of the purchase price.
