Your firewall needs to give the media player free access to the internet. The media player downloads video files through TCP port 80 and synchronizes the time through port 37. Communication is being initiated by the media player (there is no need for settings of port forwarding). The media player is standard configurated on DHCP. If necessary, a fixed IP configuration can be set. For this, please follow the next few steps.
1. Start up the media player and put a keyboard in the USB portal. Make sure the media player is connected to a screen.
2. After the starting up of the media player, you will see the menu of the media player. This is visible on screen where the media player is connected to. You need to click on ‘Cancel auto play’ within 15 seconds to stay in this menu, otherwise the content will automatically start playing on screen again.
3. Navigate through the menu to ‘advanced’ –>’network ethernet static IP settings’. Select ‘use static IP’ here and fill in the required IP settings (you can ask for help of your IT manager).
4. Select ‘save’ right on top. Now you can enter the main menu again by select the arrow to the left in the black bar at the bottom (second symbol from the left). After 15 seconds the playlist will automatically start playing on screen again.
